What Openness measures

Openness is about how you relate to the new versus the proven: whether a familiar method feels like solid ground or a box you'd rather climb out of. Some people light up chasing ideas, possibilities, and odd angles. Others stay close to what's tested and like knowing exactly where the floor is. Neither is the right answer. They're two ways of meeting the world.
High Openness
Imaginative
You reopen a solution that already works because a more interesting one might be hiding underneath. Tangents pull you, odd questions stick with you, and you'd rather rebuild an approach than repeat it. New ideas are where you come alive, and you trust the leap before the proof arrives.
Low Openness
Grounded
You run the method that worked last time instead of reinventing it from scratch. When something does the job, you keep it, and you'd take the proven path over a clever experiment most days. You like knowing where the ground is, and that keeps you moving while others are still tinkering.
