These terms govern your use of Archetype — a free personality test available on the web and as an iOS app (the "Service"), operated by Archetype ("we", "us"). By using the Service you agree to these terms.
Archetype gives you a Big Five (OCEAN) personality profile and matches you to one of ten archetypes, based on your answers to a questionnaire. The test, your result, and your trait breakdown are free. You can optionally create an account to save your result across devices.
Archetype is for self-reflection and entertainment. It is not a clinical, diagnostic, medical, or psychological assessment, and it is not a substitute for advice from a qualified professional. Personality traits are descriptive tendencies on a spectrum, not fixed destinies. Do not rely on your result for important decisions about health, employment, or relationships.
Don't misuse the Service: don't attempt to disrupt it, scrape it at scale, reverse-engineer it, or use it to harass others or to make automated decisions about people. We may suspend access that threatens the Service or other users.
The Service — including the archetype model, written content, design, and software — is owned by Archetype and protected by intellectual-property laws. Your individual result is yours to view and share; the underlying model and content are not licensed for redistribution or commercial reuse without permission.
The Service is provided "as is", without warranties of any kind. We don't guarantee that results are accurate, that the Service will be uninterrupted, or that it is fit for any particular purpose.
To the extent permitted by law, Archetype is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
We may update these terms from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by the "last updated" date above. Continued use after a change means you accept the updated terms.
